Passages: Unexpected Eulogy

It was a tragic and dark time for a young man when his friend and cousin was killed suddenly. Gene Citrone shares a time in his life where he reached out to God for a peace that was needed to deliver an unexpected eulogy. Gene’s Passages interview won the coveted Gabriel Award for Passages and PMM. It is one of over 20 awards that PMM has received over 35 years of sharing peoples stories of hope and faith. We thank Gene and the many others who have allowed the Passages team to capture their stories to inspire and help others with the passage points in their lives. Listen to Gene talk about this passage point in his life.

Turning Swords into Plowshares

Turning swords into plowshares is easily said but very hard to do. Peacemaking has been at the core of being Presbyterian and a key attribute of the larger overall Christian family even though at times our humanity gets in the way of truly living it out. Rev. Bill Lowery has walked the walk and talked the talk when it comes to Peacemaking.

I had the pleasure to sit and talk with him about his work in the Sudan at a church just outside of Washington D.C. Sudan like Syria is an unstable country that finds itself relying on the U.S. and Russia for weapons in the on-going fighting and strife happening internally. The struggle is great! Listen to Bill talk about the tension for weapons in developing countries on Passages.
